“The goal has officially been ruled as scored by Bruno Fernandes.”

Fernandes ended the game with two goals to his name after converting a late penalty kick awarded for handball against Jose Gimenez.
Adidas stepped in
Adidas has also confirmed no contact was made between the World Cup matchball and Cristiano Ronaldo, thanks to a 500Hz IMU sensor and Connected Ball Technology housed in Adidas’s Al Rihla used in the tournament.
Earlier, the Portuguese Federation are going to present evidence to FIFA to prove that the first goal against Uruguay was Cristiano Ronaldo’s NOT Bruno Fernandes’.
It could have been Ronaldo’s goal to level his nation’s legend Eusebio’s World Cup scoring whose nine goals came at the 1966 edition. However, it’s not the case now.
